I would pay that, but then should get to play any category. For all 30 - 40 new categories, would cost $600-$800! Most apps just do one annual subscription which is fine- at like $20-$50 one time purchase. So if you want to be able to just play any of the new categories, it would cost $20 per one category (1,000 jewels). I’m down to pay for the app, but it costs 1,000 jewels to play one new category. Needless to say, I got excited when I saw the recently added 30-40 new categories. But all of a sudden, ads pop up way more?! And my one biggest complaint before was I wished they did more trivia categories. I like this trivia app for questions and not many repeats. There is also a new gameplay we call "events" where you need to answer 3 questions in each of the 10 levels. When you install the new version you will see that there is lifelines to help you when you don't know the answer to a question. The bonus wheel is a new feature where you can win gems or lifelines. I cannot figure out the point of this extra stuff - since we only play against the app, why are these things cluttering up the game? Thanks in advance for considering providing explanations. That would be informative…just like the game itself. Is it free to spin? Does it cost me points to spin it? What purpose does it serve, or is it just a gimmick? What is the whole point of these bonus points? Are they just for some dumb bragging right on a “leaders” scoreboard? Can they be used for some purpose while playing a Trivia game? Maybe you could provide explanations for these adjunct items in your settings tab. While I understand it’s a wheel and perhaps it will provide a bonus, I can find no explanation about it. That said, I have noticed the addition of a lot of ads, and gimmicky stuff with no explanation of what the gimmicks are for or how they enhance the game, if they do at all. And that’s really all that’s necessary for the game to make it fun. To me, that makes it just like playing the Trivial Pursuit board game, which is very fun, challenging, and a source of learning some fun worldwide trivia nuggets. I really enjoy playing the game itself and answering the questions. Traditional Trivial Pursuit game play with.So far, pretty fun game. Challenges even the savviest Trivial Pursuit player.
